Pretty neat track. The introduction is nice, but I feel like the piano's introduced a little too early as the pad already sets a nice ambience for the start. The general structure of this song is solid, but the crash cymbal throughout is a little abrasive compared to the other elements - maybe remove the low/mid frequencies, have it a couple decibels lower and drown it a little in reverb.

The drop sounds nice, but I feel like it's a little samey throughout and the mix/master makes everything sound smashed together, a little overcompressed. Maybe it's because the main piano is a little too loud, chill it out with a little decrease in volume and less stereo presence. On the second time listening, I also noticed that the drum loop you used sounds stretched, a little unnatural which isn't good for an orchestral/ambient track like this. I know there isn't many workarounds if you're sticking with the loop, but maybe changing the mode for stretching or using another loop entirely would work? Not sure. It also sounds like there's an abrupt cut at 1:36, the instruments sound like they looped incorrectly there.

For the outro, I felt like it could've been a little more impactful with a riser to introduce itself comfortably. The noise sample also abruptly cuts off at 2:17 and the piano does so too, right at the end. Those could both probably be fixed with a little reverb and volume automation.

The strengths and weaknesses are both apparent, but I still feel like this track is strongly emotional. Keep on going!

Thanks for the honest feedback.
After I've listened it to after the upload I realized most of the weaknesses you mentioned. Ear fatigue is a pain hahaha

The atmosphere in this track is pretty neat, sort of ominous, but I felt like the drums could've been more impactful with a boost in the low end and *maybe* sidechaining if it would work for a track like this. I feel like the white noise stabs near the end could be a couple db quieter too. Something that I can tell is the care which went into the intro and outro sections, which I don't see much for some other tracks on this site.

Keep on going!

My score may come off as generous as I am absolutely a sucker for these type of distorted to hell, classic break-heavy tracks but this is a quality piece of music for sure. The only nitpicks I really have are the outro feeling a bit abrupt and production quality resulting in a couple of the breaks being too quiet compared to the obliterative bass, but everything else is really really good. Probably one of my favourites on this site.

Admittedly this isn't my taste of Drum & Bass at all, but I can see how this is an overall neat track. The synths sound pretty warm with how much bass there is, the vocal chops fit the middle, but I felt like the track length's a bit bloated with the last minute or so - it felt like it stopped evolving. Maybe the strings could be replaced with ones which have more audible clarity in the high end? Not sure.

Either way, I'm looking forward to hear your future stuff!

actually the best comment i’ve received on newgrounds. will definitely take this all into consideration. the track in whole is supposed to have vocals on it. but i’ll definitely work on that ending

Pretty neat track! The only complaints I have are the instruments sounding a bit cheesy and how the stereo's used - could've been more mono at the start and would make the drop feel more alive. I don't know if it's just my headphones, but the stereo on the drums are a bit off-putting too. I found the outro section a little too quiet as well, but it's not really anything which ruins the track for me.

Looking forward to see what you do next!

Interesting tune. Drums are really crispy which I quite like, but I find the parts throughout to not transition too well to the next,, being a little abrupt like after the first drop ends. The notable usage of sidechain in the second part I also don't find to be too fitting, might've sounded better with a shorter and less punchy feel. Last grievance is the first and last 10 seconds sounding nearly silent. Atmosphere is still killer though, I love that.

She/it - A mellow electronic producer whose tunes range from soothing, to ethereal, to aggressive. :^)
