People *need* to stop sleeping on you. This fucking goes, esp the second half
yeah fr, tysm for the compliments, glad you love the song <3
I personally think the first half is better, but the second half is good too
That mixdown is fucking lovely. Gated pad at 1:47-2:02 feels weird, maybe do some lowpass automation on that, but otherwise good stuff. :P
I don't think I've felt more underwhelmed listening to a DnB tune.
Everything is weak, almost as if there was little to no care put into mastering the track before release. The lonely tops in the drums make the entirety of the two drops sound remarkably empty, and I don't find the kick fitting with the basses either. Snappier drums would just go along with them more, rather than what sounds like a full loop dragged into your DAW of choice - the ones here sound much more fitting in a liquid DnB tune, rather than very minimal tech. There are only three basses to compensate for the sub and drums, all of which are narrow in terms of frequencies and, as a result, don't help to combat how empty the track sounds as a whole.
Outside of the drops, there's also remarkably little going on. There's a drone, some hi-hats which are too loud in comparison and a reese, all of which sounding like filler to just get the track to its drops. Even a tonal pad could help out with this.
Some white noise FX in the drops could also help this track, but not by much - the liquid drums and techy basses just clash too much for me to not notice. One of them desperately has to be changed, alongside more samples or instruments just being there in the first place. There simply aren't enough elements to consider this a finished track in my eyes.
all my homies love shimmer reverb
Really chill. Wish those snares @ 1:37 were a little louder and went further in the second drop, otherwise I quite like it.
Damnnn this shit's beautiful
This track's like if Oneohtrix Point Never and Camellia had a child, I dig it.
If the mix was less muddy and the panning on the amen was centered I'd give it a 5..
